I think a garden adds to an apartment, balcony or small backyard. You get that lush feel and relaxing atmosphere.

I&#039;ve been growing fruits and vegetables in an urban garden for many years and I know many other people who do the same.
Urban gardeners find creative ways to use vertical space, like tomatoes or beans climbing up the side of the house or garage.
Use the front yard too. If that&#039;s where all the sun is, grow vegetables there. Mix in a few flowers too.
Put a container of herbs right outside your backdoor. It&#039;s convenient when you&#039;re cooking and that frees up space in the ground for more demanding crops.
